      childish people do that.

for me, i juz tailgate or cut them from the left. normally i will tilt my HID up to shine their interior to make known to them that they are hogging the lane. if they cannot take the hint, i'll cut them from the left with minimal spacing between us and cut back

    • Kao. I'll only tailgate and highbeam the occasional stuntman on the road.

They either swerve across lanes dangerously or overtake me before changing lanes, proceed to overtake other vehicles and coming back to the same lane. This kind no need to give face.

Taxi drivers in merging lanes as well. The habit of overtaking dangerously is a real turn off.

    • Hmm.., well if u think ur ride can do it... play mah-jong around their car. Not always about the size of the dog in the fight.., sometimes its the size of the fight in the dog.. icon_biggrin.gif But most of the time just overtake la if possible, no point getting ur feathers ruffled over such miniscule matters. Drive safe y'all...

    • If got time
I will happily drive slowly behind, and then since the speed is slow, I will spend some of my attention to chatting with my gf

      If rushing for time
I will curse under my breath, then overtake either on the right or left, depending.

    • normally would high beam if they really drive very slow on a fast lane. If it changes lane then I drive off or I overtake if situation allow.

If acceptable speed then I will just follow behind at around 2 car length or overtake it lor...

Sometimes tailgating is more than impulsive gusto. I'll tail gate and high beam drivers who drive past me very dangerously. Follow them until our routes differ. Otherwise, no point wasting petrol and time on these wankers.

The way some drivers operate on the road tests more than just your level of judgement and patience. Even if you drive safely, there're bound to be stuntmen on the road lane cutting dangerously causing you to brake suddenly, in turn giving other drivers a jolt.

To counter these assholes, best to blast the music on the way home, give way to each and every one who signals, stay in the left lane with mini karaoke session, puff cigarettes and drink cola. Relax and let them be. After all it's been a long and hard day, no point in getting whizzed so easily.

Second method to counter these assholes, become the epitome of an even lousier driver yourself. They try but there is no way they can overtake, no way they can cut into your lane so most of the time they are forced to slow down even more and wait.

These bad drivers are mostly uncles and soccer moms in MPVs waving and chatting to their passengers throughout their ride. Either that or they're taxi drivers and ah bengs in vans.

the jam brake part i feel is redundant. if u r really rushing for time, y waste time jamming ur brakes and endanger others lives?  cheers

    • When they road hog, just overtake lah. me thinks way too many people hog the road, at least 4 or 5 in one single journey. having to deal with all using the same treatment gets very tiring.

overtaking makes life so much easier.

    • Road hogging. At 80 Kmph?

Road hoggers are usually those at the left side going 20 kmph or obstructing passage. They hog the road.

But on expressway where the speed limit is 90 kmph, how do you define road hogging in the 1st lane (extreme right lane). Others should be mindful of you, and not you mindful of traffic situation at that moment? The traffic police allows speeds over the speed limit? I think the TP has all the speedsters they need for each month (thousands), and they can let most get away with it.

Patience, assess the situation, then slowly act. Keep your distance, you can't overtake when you are three feet behind the vehicle. Overtake safely from Lane 2. Zoom away. Why burn yourself up behind that "not as fast as you" fella.

Bad behaviour on your part makes you a hog (pig) too.

Road hoggin is when people are in a hurry or emergency driving behind them high-beaming or horning you when you seriously dun wanna get out of their way and stays at the same lane insisting they overtake you from outside when it's not even possible. That's YOU road hoggin.

Remember that the outer most right lane is meant for overtaking. So i guess you are trying to be funny by asking people to overtake on the inside.

This is bad behaviour so by saying this makes you a hog ( pig ).smile.png
